JOB SUMMARY:
We are looking for a Marketing and Communications Intern to start asap (from February 2024 to June 2024).
The Marketing and Communications Intern with WIN will assist the Executive Director with WIN’s communications and marketing efforts. This internship is an excellent opportunity to experience various aspects of marketing from virtual webinars and events, in written communications, and social media. The Marketing and Communications Intern will work independently and in a team to fulfill organizational goals and initiatives related to programming and events. A completely remote role, interns assist with a wide range of projects, gaining hands-on experience and training in many aspects of marketing and development, while also gaining a good understanding of a small startup organization.
SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE WE’RE LOOKING FOR…
Firm grasp of social media tools and platforms including Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn
Completed or working toward a college degree (Junior level or up), preferably in a related field (e.g., English, Marketing/Communications, Advertising, Graphic Design, or Public Relations)
Previous internship or related experience in marketing or communications is a plus
Support marketing to effectively communicate with clients and partners (email, social, events) and improve brand awareness
Must be computer literate (working knowledge of word processing, Google Drive and Google applications)
Detail-oriented and organized with strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to conduct basic research, including one-on-one or group interviews
Solicit businesses to partner with WIN for co-branding activations
Genuine enthusiasm for creating compelling marketing materials to support WIN programming
Self-starter, good time management, creative, with the ability to communicate in a professional manner
Commitment to the continuous improvement of service quality and the organization’s mission
Brainstorm, pitch, and run new social media marketing ideas to continue to grow WIN’s reach, traffic & conversion
