Angela Finlay
EVP & CHRO, Dime Community Bank + Lecturer, Columbia University
Angela Blum-Finlay has over 20 years of experience leading Human Resources functions in small to Fortune Global 150 companies. She is currently the Executive Vice President & Chief Human Resources Officer at Dime Community Bank where she leads the transformation of the organizational development and human resources functions. She is responsible for the strategy and execution of the talent initiatives as the bank shifts from a thrift bank to a robust community bank. Prior to Dime, Angela was the Director of Human Resource (Global Talent Management Group) for Mitsui & Co. (U.S.A.), Inc. where she was responsible for the strategy and execution of HR and Talent Management activities for the Americas region (North and South America). Prior to Mitsui, Angela spent almost 10 years in the public accounting and consulting industry leading Human Resources functions, including an HR consulting business. In addition, she also spent time as an Adjunct Professor at Columbia University and Fairleigh Dickinson University teaching Human Resources courses.
She currently holds various HR certifications, including SHRM-SCP, SPHR and CCP. She holds both a B.S. and M.B.A in Business Management / Human Resources Management. She is a Board Member of NYCSHRM, Chair of the Talent & Development SIG of NYC SHRM, Co-Chair of the Workforce Council for the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce, and a Board Advisor for the Fairleigh Dickinson School of Arts in addition to other volunteer board positions for non-profit organizations.
